Inside Flange Conical Points

  • Model: P14006

Conical Points are the preferred end closure for pipe piles. The conical shape pushes the earth aside and preserves friction. The snub nose conical is an economical design which provides end protection in most soil conditions.

Size: The snub nose conical point is available for 8-5/8", 10-3/4", 12", 12-3/4", 14", 16", & 18" O.D. pipe.
Benefits: 60 degree Conical Points with heavy internal ribs aid in penetration in most soils. On boulders or uneven rock, the point helps to distribute the load around the periphery of the pipe rather than concentration it on a quadrant - as occurs with plate closure.
Steel Grade: High Strength Heat-Treated Cast Steel Grade ASTM A148 80/50 - other grades also available.

Drive-On Pipe Pile Splicer

  • Model: S-20000

Of special interest for pipe piles is the Drive-On Splicer. Driving into the tapered splice compresses the pipe ends for a friction fit connection. No welding is required, speeding the job and minimizing the crew and equipment time.

Size: Recommended for wall thickness ½" or less.
Benefits: The splicer's internal tapers allow for the pile hammer to seat the pipe into the splicer on both ends, eliminating the need for welding, speeding installation, saving both time and money.  Low headroom situations benefit from use of short lengths of pipe that need to be spliced.

Weld Fit Pipe Pile Splicer

  • Model: S-20000 WF

The weld fit splicer is recommended when tension and uplift values are required. Fillet welds both top and bottom are required for attachment.

Size:
Benefits: This splicers can also be used in low head room situations. The weld fit splicer can also be pre-attached on one end and brought to the jobsite for final attachment, thus saving both time and money on site.

Bruns Pipe Splicer

  • Model: S-20000B

The Bruns Splicer is popular in New Orleans where pre-stressed concrete piles need to be extended. Also referred to as the "Bruns Pile Connector", short pipe ferrules are cast on one end of each length of the concrete pile. An impact plate is tack-welded inside the splicer. The pipe ends are inserted into the splicer for a friction fit connection.

Size: 14"
Benefits: The modified splicer functions to extend the lengths as it would on pipe.

Pipe Pile Closure Boot

  • Model: PB-20000

The precision engineered steel drive-on pipe pile boot, 3/8" thick, plus ribs, eliminates the need for welding, either in the shop or field. It can be installed easily with the tap of a sledge. Tighter closure is achieved as driving forces the pipe deeper into the tapered boot. It is self-aligning for straight conformity with the pile.

Size: Available for 10-3/4" and 12-3/4" O.D. pipe.
Benefits: Compression fit boot. No welding is required for attachment, which means no lost time, no extra labor, and greater economy.

Plastic Pile Caps

  • Model: C-19000

The plastic pile caps are injection molded in order to maintain a uniform thickness of 0.100". There a 4 pre-punched holes on the flanges for nailing. The cap can be used on pipe, timber, or concrete piles. Available in round or square; flat or cone shaped; black or white.

Size: Standard sizes range from 5.5" I.D. to 18" I.D. Larger sizes up to 36" I.D. Availability of size, shapes & color upon request.
Benefits: Easy to install and a cost effective means to protect the pile investment from internal rot. Caps cover the top of the pile, providing safety on site from anything falling into the top of an open pipe pile. The cone shape helps to discourage birds from perching. Also offers a finished look to timber piles on dock or other pipe, timber or concrete structures. Plastic pile caps are UV resistant.
Grade: Heavy weatherable polyethylene plastic.
